Kolacky Days - July 25-27, 2008

The celebration is named after the fruit-filled Czech bun. This is one of the oldest, largest, and greatest community celebrations in Minnesota: the first Kolacky Day was held in 1929 as a harvest festival.

Thousands of people are drawn to Montgomery each year for this Czechoslovakian festival. Treat yourself to assorted foods; listen to live modern and ethnic music. Enjoy colorful Czech dancers and Czech singing groups. We have many activities for young and old: a huge truck & tractor pull, 32 team softball tournament, volleyball tournament, horseshoe tournament, Kiddie Parade, carnival, dances, Kolacky eating & baking contests, Queen pageant, the famous Bun Run foot race, the Tour de Bun Bike Classic, classic car show, kid & adult pedal tractor pull, and much more!
