Home Baked Kolacky
Contest
CLASS #1 - Best Tasting Traditional Kolacky. Must be made with
a traditional filling, either poppyseed or prune.
- Will be judged on looks, smell, taste, and texture.
CLASS #2 - Best Tasting Non-Traditional Kolacky. May be made
with any type of filling, other than prune or poppyseed.
- Will be judged on looks, smell, taste, and texture.
CLASS #3 - Most Perfectly Shaped Kolacky. Can be any variety
of filling.
- Will be judged on color, shape, and appearance
CLASS #4 - Largest Kolacky. Can be any variety of filling. Must
be made with dough and baked.
- Will be judged on size, color, and appearance.
Prizes: 1st Place, $25 in Monty Bucks; 2nd Place, $15 in Monty
Bucks; 3rd Place $10 in Monty Bucks.
Rules:
1. Any non-professional baker is eligible to enter.
2. All entries must be baked.
3. One entry form needs to be filled out for each class entered. Limit
of two entries per class.
4. One dozen of the same flavor kolackys are required for each Class
#1, 2, and 3 you enter. One kolacky is required for Class #4.
5. Entries will be judged by the criteria listed below each class.
It will be a blind judging event; Decision of the judges is final.
6. Kolackys must be turned in on Saturday,
July 23, 2011 starting at 10 a.m. and no later than noon.
7. Winners may pick up Monty Bucks at Mobilize Montgomery after August 1, 2011.
