Man vs. Machine
On Saturday, please consider registering or joining us in the heart of Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m. for the 14th Annual Bohemian Tractor Pull. The Bohemian Tractor Pull is where a 4-person team, using a rope pull an antique tractor a given distance. The 4-person team that pulls the tractor fastest is the winner.
The event was added in 2009 after witnessing the event the year prior in Wilber, NE at their Czech Festival. Since then, we have had many participants, but the end result has been pretty constant. The Krocak Farm has won every year with the exception of 2011, when two (2) of the boys were out of state for work and missed Kolacky Days. With the Krocak Farm being shorthanded, the 4 Fat Boys won. Rumor has it that they had assistance. They had a cute young girl tease them with a bowl of dumplings and gravy that was just out of their reach.
Not to be outdone, the Krocak Farm ladies put together a team in 2014 and also won! When asked about their success, their maminka (mom) said, "Krocak Farm boys train in earnest for this event. Pushing and pulling tractors up hill (both ways), bare foot in the rain or sleet or snow. They are fed a steady diet of prune kolacky and real whole milk." She went on to add, "Thanks to TCU FFA for organizing the event that continues to grow and grow each year." Hope to see you in the park watching this great event!

To enter your team in the Bohemian Tractor Pull, please complete the registration form and return the form. Each member of the team needs to sign and date the registration form. If any of the members are under 18 years of age, they must have a parent or guardian sign as well.
