Kolacky Days - Kids Pedal Pull.jpg

The Kid's Pedal Pull can attribute its beginnings to a slightly different event.  Starting 1982, the local kids of Montgomery would compete in Graden Tractor Races in Memorial Park.  After a few years that event was cancelled and not until 1995 was something similar revived.  Starting at the 61st Annual Kolacky Days celebration did the Kid's Pedal Pull get its start.  The Montgomery Area Community Club now sponsors the Kid's Pedal Pull as one of the many activities we give back to the youth of our community and surrounding area.  The event is ran by the Kid's Power Pedal Tractor Pull out of Hanlontown, Iowa who's mission is to provide the fairest pedal competition humanly possible. So please bring your children to Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon.  We want everyone to have a fun and enjoyable time!

Contest Rules

Kids aged from 4 through 11 compete against kids from their own age group.  This is a state sanctioned pull.   The qualify for state, the top two in each age group are allowed to participate in the State Pedal Tractor Pull held the second Saturday in September at location to be announced later. Each child will receive a participation ribbon for their efforts in the pedal pull.

From there, the top boys and the top two girls in each group can compete in the National Pedal Tractor Pull head in Mitchell, South Dakota at the end of September.
