5K Bun Run
In 1980, the Bun Run ran its inaugural foot race. Since then its become a community favorite. Runners have come across the Atlantic, been Olympians, former Minnesota Vikings players, and a future Minnesota Supreme Court justice. In 2013, the race was changed to a true 5K.
The Bun Run is on Sunday morning starting at 9:30 a.m. The race begins at Tri-City United - Montgomery Elementary & Middle School and ends on 1st Street near the White Front Saloon. The cost is $25.00 per person for pre-registration or $30.00 per person for late or walk-up registration. Walk-up registration opens at 8:00 a.m. at Tri-City United - Montgomery Elementary & Middle School.

Kids' Half Mile Race
It's a Montgomery tradition that has been apart of the Kolacky Days festivities for generations. The popular Kids' Race begins on the north end of 1st Street on Sunday morning prior to the Grand Day Parade.
The Kids' Race is broken into three (3) waves. The first wave, for kids who are 10 to 12 years old, will begin at 11:30 a.m. A second wave, for kids who are 8 to 9 years old, will begin at 11:35 a.m. Finally a third wave for youth 7 and under will begin at 11:40 a.m. Boys and girls run together. If you miss registration, walk-up registration opens at 10:30 a.m. in the Center Stage Dance parking lot. The cost is $13.00 per person for pre-registration or $18.00 per person for late or walk-up registration.

2-Mile Fitness Walk
In 1988, a fitness walk was added as an event. In 1990, the fitness walk became the 2-mile fitness walk we know today. The fitness walk begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Pre-registration is available and can be done by either completing and submitting the form and fee to the address provided on the form or through on-line registration. The cost is $25.00 per person for pre-registration or $30.00 per person for late or walk-up registration. The walk begins at the Tri-City United - Montgomery Elementary & Middle School.
